AERE is a partner to Leonardo ENERGY, developing briefing papers and short articles on energy efficiency and sustainable energy. AERE is working with the European Copper Institute, to increase knowledge on rational use of energy and electricity, and develop renewable energy sources.
Main author is Dr. Anne Rialhe (see her profile in the member list section), P. Lenormand and C. Corbet have been co-authors for 2007.
AERE - Alternatives pour l'Energie, les énergies Renouvelables et l'Environnement - is a French company, created in 2001. AERE is working on energy savings and renewable energy sources development, through forecasting, studies, on buildings, transport, industries and agriculture. AERE is working at different levels, from local communities, cites, regional and national parks, regions, to ministries, national agencies and the European Union.
AERE is also implied in the construction of green buildings, on one side, with the owners and the users, to help them analyse their needs and how to build green buildings, and on the other side with architects and companies.
Our analysis is that the current energy and environmental situation and its development today are not sustainable as well as not equitable in regard to all nations.
Our objective is to propose other options to the current energy and environmental situation
In order to
- Save natural resources and develop the use of renewable energy sources
- Propose solutions for environment improvement, in buildings, energy production and consumption
- Increase the involvement of the general public
And by limiting
- The consumption of fossil energy sources
- Energy production and consumption’s environmental impacts
- Human activities’ environmental impacts, specifically for buildings
More information can be found at the AERE website.
