Voltage harmonics generated by non linear loads

With linear loads and sinusoidal voltage supply, all waveforms are sinusoidal.
With non linear loads, which drain non sinusoidal current, system impedance influences voltage waveform (with current value remaining the same):
- Low short circuit impedance: sinusoidal voltage
- High short circuit impedance: non sinusoidal voltage
The animation describes the influence of short circuit impedance on voltage disturbances generated by harmonics currents.
