Are expectations on energy realistic?

In this Eurobarometer report, released January 24, almost half of citizens surveyed expressed a preference for the development of solar power to reduce Europe's dependency on imported energy resources, and 41% are in favour of research for advanced energy technologies. To use energy more efficiently, citizens want to receive more information from governments, as well as tax incentives. But more than half of citizens do not want to pay more for sustainable energy, and the group willing to pay a premium predominantly wants the premium to be below 10%.
