A close look at the Ecodesign Directive

In July 2005, the European Parliament and Council officially signed the Ecodesign Directive for Energy Using Products (2005/32/EC). The final aim is to oblige manufacturers to reduce, by the design of a product, its energy consumption and other negative environmental impacts over its life cycle. It is a framework directive that clears the way for the introduction of specific implementation measures, which must be agreed to by July 2007.

The EU Emission Trading Scheme - a play in 4 acts

Setting the scene

Or just another (among many) is the Observ-er that however gives were comprehensive and easy-to-read material with good overviews, see figure below, of trends and country-situation. On top of these annual reports they also have more in-depth studies of single fuels. You will have to register to obtain downloads but that is all. It is also an advantage that it is published with both french and english text.
