Consumption rates available on public Internet site

Elsparefonden has created an innovative and informative approach to promoting energy efficiency in Danish public sector institutions and private companies. Participating organisations can track, analyse, and compare their electricity consumption on a dedicated website. Electricity readings are transferred directly from the individual organisations’ electricity meters to the website databank.
The data are publicly accessible to all visitors. The hour-by-hour amount of electricity used by each participating organisation is shown, as well as reports analysing this consumption. This enables companies and other major users to benchmark their energy use with similar organisations in the same sector. To further facilitate benchmarking, the website also reports the average consumption data of each type of organisation, workspace, and sector.
