An initiative by Elsparefonden, the Danish Electricity Saving Trust

Elsparefonden has created an innovative and informative approach to promoting energy efficiency in Danish public sector institutions and private companies. Participating organizations can track, analyze, and compare their electricity consumption on a dedicated Web site. Electricity readings are transferred directly from the individual organizations’ electricity meters to the Web site databank.
The data are publicly accessible to all visitors. The hour-by-hour amount of electricity used by each participating organization is shown, as well as reports analyzing this consumption. This enables companies and other major users to benchmark their energy use with similar organizations in the same sector. To further facilitate benchmarking, the Web site also reports the average consumption data of each type of organization, workspace, and sector.
