Action Plan on Energy Efficiency – ECEEE Summer Study
Submitted by Sergio Ferreira on Tue, 2007-06-19 10:35.
The 8th ECEEE Summer Study is probably the largest conference of its kind dealing with energy efficiency in Europe. This year’s edition took place in the surroundings of Nice, gathering nearly 400 participants in a very informal but intense intellectual atmosphere over five days. The most recent developments in energy efficiency were discussed there in a number of formats: more than 200 high-quality, peer-reviewed papers and presentations, poster sessions and informal sessions.
Leonardo ENERGY was represented by Sergio Ferreira with a paper analysing the Action Plan on Energy Efficiency. The paper focuses mainly on the “creation” process, establishing the line that started with the publication of the Green Paper, the consequent Public Consultation and its outcomes, the Impact Assessment and finally the Action Plan and the accompanying documents. The influence the stakeholders had in the process and their importance on implementing the real actions the Action Plan proposes are the main topics discussed.
The paper and presentation are available below.
