Meeting organised by the Sierra Club
On 14th December 2006, eight prominent thinkers and activists were brought together around a single table to discuss climate change and what we can do about it. The forum was organised by Marilyn Berlin Snell of the Sierra Club, an American organisation of individuals who want to 'Explore, enjoy and protect the planet'. The organisation is widely recognised as one of the original and most influential in raising consciousness about protecting nature in the U.S.A. The eight thinkers were Paul Anderson, Barbara Boxer, Al Gore, Vinod Khosla, Bettina Poirier, Carl Pope, Dan Reicher, and Stephen Schneider.
Sierra, the official magazine of the Sierra Club, has published a fascinating inside look at the discussion in its latest issue. The article is also available online.
