Climate is an urgent matter for the Europeans.

The Europeans, to an overwelming majority (close to 90%), are concerned with climate issues and demand action now! This is the conclusion o f the latest Eurobaromoter. There are differences between the countries, but strangely enough not with a geographic pattern of the type we are used to (north vs south, east vs west or even new members vs old).
This view of urgency amongst the Europeans is further verified in a study of consumer perception of climate issues made in the US and UK and published last week called "Switching on Citizen Power". At the same time that consumers ask for action, they mistrust company actions and consider them to be "greenwash" rather than sincere concern. The consumers are not impressed by the appearance of movie stars as witnesses, and would prefer to see an active societal leadership.
So, if the top (politicians) is prepared to lead, the foundation (consumers) is prepared to listen and adhere, it is just for the middle (the companies) to deliver! The report has great information for companies, NGOs and associations who want to act.
