The 13th IEEE International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power (ICHQP) will be held in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, from 28th September to 1st October, 2008. This Conference is one of the premier international conferences in this field. The Conference strives to present research work of academic and technical excellence in the area of power quality and welcomes paper submissions from researchers, practitioners and students worldwide. The Conference will feature special sessions and tutorials by world-leading experts.

The Conference will be hosted by the Integral Energy Power Quality and Reliability Centre (IEPQRC) which has attracted extensive industry recognition and funding since 1996 and continues to be vigorously involved in power quality research and development activities. The members of the IEPQRC are attached to the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering within the University of Wollongong and have been active campaigners in establishing strong power engineering teaching and research programs not only at the University of Wollongong but also at a national level.

Wollongong is located by the sea approximately 1.5 hours south of Sydney, Australia's largest city. Located on a coastal plain between the Illawarra escarpment and the sea Wollongong offers many attractions from the natural pristine beaches and forests through to fine dining.

The venue for the conference is the University of Wollongong whose main campus occupies a site of 82.4 hectares, nestled between the escarpment of Mount Keira and the nearby Pacific Ocean. The environment is open, spacious and extensively landscaped, with native vegetation and water gardens being a feature. The University is located approximately 5 minutes from Wollongong city centre.
