Regulation of Voltage Quality
By Hans De Keulenaer / Published on Mon, 2007-03-05 18:36This report has explored the issue of voltage quality regulation. The outcome of this report is a set of guidelines with respect to the development of a voltage quality regulatory framework. Furthermore, some practical guidelines in the regulation of the five most relevant voltage quality dimensions have been provided.
Voltage quality regulation is less advanced and detailed when compared with for example regulation of continuity of supply. This can be attributed to the higher degree of complexity involved in regulating voltage quality. Not only are there more dimensions involved, measurement is also more complicated compared. Nevertheless, the importance of voltage quality and therefore the need for regulation is increasing. Analysis of the issues at stake can surely contribute to a better understanding and therefore lead to effective regulatory systems. This report can be considered as an effort in pursuing this path.
