    Via theWatt, we learn about the ecological debt day calendar from the New Economics Foundation.

    nef's ecological debt calendar shows the days in a typical calendar year when, in effect, a range of countries stop relying on their own natural resources, and start to live off the rest of the world

    According to the calendar, UK started 'eating the planet' on April 16. Italy, Japan and Netherlands already are living on other country's ecological wealth. Next in line for May are Germany, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
