Martin, Alastair

       

Dr Alastair Martin has been associated with the energy industries since 1992. After completing a PhD in offshore engineering at the University of Edinburgh, Alastair went on to work in large scale power generation at Mitsui Babcock Energy Limited. Subsequently, while working at Scottish Water on energy efficiency and renewable energy, Alastair formulated the Flexitricity concept of aggregated load management and generation control. This resulted in the launch of Martin Energy Limited in 2004, where he is presently Managing Director.
