SIER is both LPQI and LPQIVES partner

SIER is unique Romanian professional, autonomous, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit association in power field which can give and find pertinent and feasible answers at PQ problems and characteristics of Romanian electrical power system. SIER is responsible for the organization of Vocational Education Seminars and Courses in Romania, as part of Leonardo Energy both LPQI and LPQIVES Programmes.

Society of Power Engineers in Romania – SIER was founded at March 5th, 1990. SIER is E.U.R.E.L. Member (Convention of National Societies of Electrical Engineers of Europe) since 2002 and is recognized as partner both by the main companies which work in the generation, transmission and distribution of the electricity in Romania (Transelectrica, Electrica, E-ON Moldova, ENEL Dobrogea, ENEL Banat and ENEL Muntenia Sud, Termoelectrica, Hidroelectrica and Nuclearelectrica) and by ANRE (Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority).

Main activities:

  • consulting studies and analyses, technical assistance, training courses, expertise, norms and standards elaboration, on contract or convention basis;
  • organizes conferences, symposiums, seminars, exhibitions, round tables etc;
  • facilitates exchanges of information and specialists with similar Romanian and foreign organizations;
  • facilitates meetings between Romanian and foreign companies for the promotion of the products, equipment and services provided by companies operating in the power domain;
  • supports the development of technical and scientific research.
