Register for our authors list to receive regular calls for papers on sustainable energy.

Authors should be active professionals in the field of sustainable energy. They should also be fluent in English and have good writing skills. Check our growing gallery of authors

We offer authors a highly personalised approach to publishing your paper on our website, which receives well over 100,000 visitors per month. Depending on your preference, we can offer your paper for free download (maximum exposure) or request that users register before download (lead generation). We also intend to invite selected papers for a presentation by webinar.

We welcome papers on sustainable energy that push the boundaries. In particular, we're always looking for the following:

  • case studies of innovative projects
  • briefing papers on emerging technologies
  • descriptions and impact assessments of innovative programmes
  • white papers on energy policy
Papers should be submitted in Word format, with text and graphics ready for publication. Leonardo ENERGY however reserves the right to review and edit papers, but the author gives the final approval for publication. Contributions should adhere to our terms of use.

Unplanned downtime of Leonardo ENERGY

By Hans De Keulenaer / Published on Tue, 2008-04-01 10:03

Dear Colleagues,

For the better part of yesterday, the Leonardo ENERGY website was not available. This was due to a power outage in the data centre hosting our site, which affected 95% of servers in the data centre and allegedly about 40% of all Belgian websites.

According to our service provider, the problem has been solved and power supply has been restored to 100% of servers as of 2 a.m. this morning. Attention is now shifting to identifying the cause of the failure and implementing corrective action.

Our apologies for any inconvenience, but looking for a positive, we can at least say that the issues we address on Leonardo ENERGY regarding secure power are genuine.

Kind regards,

Hans De Keulenaer

Since summer 2005, SE Blog has provided you with a morning post each working day. We covered energy projects, programmes and policies from around the world. With over 500 articles in just over 2 years, we have covered pretty much the entire field.

With the internet rapidly changing, we need to change as well. You will probably agree that there is no shortage of information on the internet. Now, we feel an increasing need for aggregation and interpretation.

2000 and counting

By Hans De Keulenaer / Published on Mon, 2007-06-04 21:54

This week, Leonardo ENERGY has published its 2000th post, a milestone that almost went by unnoticed since it was only last October when LE entered into four digits, but as quality matters as much as quantity, if not more, we're equally pleased to observe that about a third of the top 50 in the all-time popular nodes were posted within the last six months. We invite you to browse our web statistics (top menu), which are all public.

Over the next six months, we intend to continue along the same track while putting more emphasis on what's currently happening in the energy sector, rather than basic science, technology and engineering, but we do not intend to become a news channel on energy - others already perform that role very well.

From you, our users, we'd appreciate more feedback through comments. We would love to have more quality debate on LE, and would like to hear from you on why this hasn't happened (yet), and what we can do to improve.

Thank you for your support and loyalty. LE has almost 100 nodes with over 1000 visits and over a 1000 nodes with a minimum of 200 visits. I hope we're meeting your expectations.
