A twinkling Energy Star

As with all standards, Energy Star needs to be revised. When the highest quality level can be reached by too many products, it is time to move the goalposts. Otherwise, the consequences could be strange, as we see today in Europe when practically all refrigerators are A-class. That would be fine if not for technology development, which is a neverending story.

Energy Star

By Scott Elliott / Published on Fri, 2007-09-28 4:21 My understanding is that EnergyStar is a moving target and is often revised. Often the target is to recognize the top 20%.
