Short biography

Antoni Klajn was graduated by the Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland), Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 1977 (M.Sc.) and in 1980 (Ph.D). From 1981 he is with the same University, where his teaching activities concern fields related to electrical substations, equipment and installations, especially intelligent installations in buildings, grounding systems and power quality problems. His research work is focussed in switching electrical arc in vacuum and fault arc extinguishing methods as well as problems related to power quality in electrical installations. Author and co-author of over 100 scientific and didactic publications. Member of the Power Quality Committee in the Society of Polish Electricians (SEP).

The Wroclaw University of Technology belongs to the famous and biggest technical schools in Poland. Over 15,000 young people studied here in eleven Faculties of: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Management and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and other. In the Faculty of Electrical Engineering studied over 1000 students in master and bachelor degrees. Each year in the Faculty there are realised about 10 doctoral thesis.
