Paul de Potter has been active all his professional life on the safety of electrical installations: inspecting them, giving advice to installers, contractors, architects, builders.
He was the Technical director of an inspection body, specialized in the inspections of electrical installations and the Technical director of the Electrical Knowledge Centre of the Belgian associations of electrical contractors and electricians.
He is a member of various Technical Committees of the Belgian Electrotechnical Committee (the most important being TC 64) and a member of many working groups in connection with the legislation concerning electrical installations.
He has written many articles and has given many lectures on the subject of safety of electrical installations.
He now has his own consulting company.
