Graduated as a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical power systems Fred Wien joined KEMA since 2002. In function as a specialist his activities comprises engineering and quality control in the work field of protection and control for the realization of high voltage substations, high power laboratories and rail infra. He contributed in projects including power failure investigation, condition assessments and the review of designs made by third parties. Before KEMA he worked in the area of industrial control.
